Midtown Hotel - Downtown New Orleans

10/10 Excellent

"Hotel was nice. We had to switch rooms as the first one the AC didn’t work but the 2nd did and was great. Pool was very nice and a nice courtyard. There was some construction going on but that was due to the fact they had just been bought by Ramada and as upgrading the property. It’s not a 5 star hotel, but it’s nice, rooms are nice, staff great, great new upgrades. My one complaint is that the construction crew and one of the staff had no respect for the handicap parking spot and used it for themselves when they had no right too when I had my plate and couldn’t park there."

French Quarter Suites Hotel

"I stayed at this hotel in early October for a girls trip. When we first got to the hotel around 7:45PM. We followed directions the hotel had sent to us via email. To our surprise, the door it told us to go to was locked and nobody was answering the phone. We called 3 times and then proceeded to call the emergency phone number the hotel gave out. Turns out, the emergency number they give out to guests is to a number that does NOT work with the hotel anymore- hasn't for years. Luckily, the woman gave us an idea to try by going to the hotel next door to check in. It worked thankfully, but I feel the instructions need to be updated and more direct with what travellers need to do. Other than that, the room was clean and very spacious. Upon entering the room, the room and even the bedsheets smelled like mildew. However, the bathroom outlets did not work, so we had to use the living outlets to blow dry our hair. The bathroom shower doesn't properly hold/drain water so the bathroom will flood every time someone showers. The rooms constantly smelled like weed and/or cigarettes. The walls are also thin so you will hear your neighbors. Aside from this, I did like the hotel and enjoyed the fact there was security every night on the property. I also liked we had a key fob to even enter the hotel. Staff was always friendly and helpful!"

"This place was great! Everything was clean and staff was helpful! Only thing miss leading was the parking situation. There is still parking out front by the road, but you have to catch it just right to be able to park there. Would still stay here again though! Great place!"
