LOVE this hotel!! The moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the hotel manager and staff. The service was wonderful, our suite was very nicely appointed, with gorgeous views of the lake. The beds and linens were ultra cozy and luxurious. The hotel was convenient located, and offered a beautiful free breakfast buffet in their gorgeous dining room. There seemed to be a pleasant and unexpected surprise around every corner with a fresh interpretation of old meets new. Would highly recommend...
We arrived at the hotel at a relatively early hour, checked in and left our luggage in the hotel.
After a day of sightseeing in the area we returned to the hotel.
The receptionist took us to the room and only after they entered the room did she say,
"We gave you an upgrade."
We are left speachless, a stunning suite, 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, living room and a huge balcony with sunbeds overlooking the wonderful view of Lake Lugano.

Continental breakfast was very good. Parking was a problem but Anna gave us a great upgrade for our challenges. It's in a great area, two minutes walking from the Embarcadero that has the ferries to Isola Bella and Isola Bella. Grand classical hotel. Great staff, nice bar, outdoor restaurant, etc
The property, rooms and staff were all amazing. The family that owns the hotel are very hospitable and welcoming. We had a lovely evening chatting with them about a local festival l. It was very memorable.
However, if you did not rent a car buyer beware that it is a long and steep climb/walk to the hotel from any bus stops or ferries. And Ubers/taxis are hard to come by. Other than that the walk itself is beautiful just a little bit difficult.
To start , some of us can't leave without Ac , this property not only has one but one that works , ( those of you who travel through the old world understand). Service is exceptional, and property is not a resort size but big enough. Great for families and couples as well, available bikes for all ages, pool ( small but warm) gym, indoor pool, on site dining option , and again service excellent.
I loved the views and that we had access to amazing grocery store (similar to Whole Foods) with a 15 minute walk (it’s moderate intensity to walk as some of it is uphill.) loved the huge rooms , even with the kitchen and all the amenities of an apartment and of course the balcony!
Hotel has a public transportation literally across the street which is very convenient. The area surrounding the hotel looks a bit rough but I didn’t mind it. The wifi was fine and the hotel managed was pretty nice. The hotel was very clean as well

Staff was gracious and helpful. Lake view from room was incredible. Highly recommend Varenna as the city to choose - very quaint. Fun to walk to castle. We truly were happy with our choice after visiting Bellagio and Tremezzo.
Central Location for the Marina Boat Service around Lake Como. Beautiful view from the Lakefront rooms of the water & mountains. Great warm weather location with beach & pool & beautiful floral filled gathering areas near the water. The staff were excellent with excursion recommendations. The bellman staff were over the top helpful with acquiring transportation services back to Milan. They also spoke excellent english, helpful to we non lingual Americans.
