Picked this hotel over the Four Seasons due to the rooms being right on the beach. Walk out your door and you are on the sand. Found out during our stay that the staff is second to none, pamper you to the point you feel guilty.

S’ekar Pinang is a wonderful place. It’s located in a more quiet remote area, while at the same time being only about a 10 min drive away from the very popular Pantai Cenang. The facilities (pool, aircon, rooms, living area etc )were of high quality and very inviting. The personnel (Wan and crew) at the place did everything in their power to make sure we had a great stay and were very flexible and willing to personalise. Absolute recommend!

We stayed at both the Tanjung Rhu resort in the north and the Riyaz Lavanya. We are a family of 3. This hotel had a very spacious 2 bedroom unit with washer. It was located near restaurants and the beach. Only downside was the lack of a view from our room and this is a busier side of town. The hotel staff were wonderful and the rooms were newer and very clean. The only reason we wouldn’t stay here again is because we enjoyed the north side of Langkawi more than the south side. One of the best hotel I have stayed in so far. Rooms are very nice and service is excellent. Location is very private and beach is clean. If you are traveling with kids they will enjoy the kids club too.
The hotel is nice. The problem it is on the other side of the island which is less popular due to the quality of sea water. Activities ie swimming and snorkeling are not feasible. The issue I have with booking with Expedia is that we lose a lot of benefits as Marriott ie no upgrade of room unless you pay extra
La Pari Pari was a wonderful unexpected find! Just outside of the craziness oh Cenang beach it escapes the touristy atmosphere but is accessible to all. It it tucked just back off the main road but so worth the puddles that the dirt road has created. Our room was immaculate and private. The staff was very friendly and accommodating . The on site restaurant Fatcupid was some of the best reasonably priced food we ate on Langkawi. So completely different from the swamped touristy restaurants...
It has all i need and want in a stay. I have been to Langkawi many times however i always went out of the hotel to walk about and eat. It was different this time as Holiday Villa had and provided everything i wanted in a short relaxing holiday: Great room, great view, great food, great in house dining, wonderful pool and amenities.
The villas at Lavanya are beautiful and very well maintained. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment with pool. The apartment was quite spacious elegantly built and furnished, with full kitchen and washer dryer. The service was awesome! The only issue I had was that the master bathroom had no door and the toilet in it had glass doors. And that was a major inconvenience for us. Except that, I liked everything about this place!
The name "Paretto Seaview Hotel" is little misguiding. After we checked-in only we realized that there are only a few rooms may have the sea view. But, it's only a few minutes walk to the beach, which was really great. The staffs were extremely friendly. And, the person at the front office was extremely helpful. they let us check-in early as well. I would stay again in this hotel.
The hotel was a pleasant surprise. The room was very comfortable and the pool was right outside the room. The staff were very nice and friendly. It felt like home. It is a short walk away from the beach. We were served a very breakfast every morning.
During our one week there, I researched A LOT for our stay in MALAYSIA! This hotel turned out to be a hidden treasure and I can't believe everything we got for such a low price! We were considering booking the Dejaya/Westin with the cost being 10x more but we're so glad we went with this.
