What a charming hotel! Lots of quirky decorations throughout the hotel and in rooms. The staff were absolutely lovely- happy to help with any and all questions. We had a loft room, which was small but more than sufficient, with a breathtaking view of the fjord. We made use of the two hot-spring fed hot tubs available to guests as well. Sitting and looking out over the mountains at sunset was a magical experience. Breakfast was generous and good!

The most friendly and helpful hotel staff we've ever met. The hotel is located in a beautiful valley that overlooks the hills and the sunset. The outdoor hot bath was an amazing experience and wonderful amenity. Breakfast was delicious as well. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.
We stayed for only one night, but this is one of our favorite hotels. First of all, we are family of 5 and stayed in the family room. It is more than enough to accommodate six people comfortably. The hotel is also extremely well maintained and very clean. It is directly across the street from a grocery store. We stayed here for 1 night. We reached a bit after dark and it was our first night in Iceland. The guy at the reception did not understand much English. It was very dark as there is no light pollution. It would have been helpful if he had come with us to show the room, as we had to cross a little bridge after parking our car and we were fumbling in the dark. A wonderful property. It's not a hotel, so if you're expecting something luxurious, this isn't it! The location is great, and the owners have developed cute walking trails about troll-related folklore. There's a shared kitchen available, and the bathrooms are in a building less than a minute walk from the pods. It's northern Europe, so the showers are communal. Just wanted to say the staff here made our trip memorable. The breakfast was fantastic. Prior to arriving I let the staff know we would be arriving early due to a early flight and needed to freshen up due to me proposing. They made the accommodation.
