Beautiful Portuguese Casa with lovely garden, pool, and breakfast/rec room. Amazing collections of various items on display everywhere you look. The hostess. Ari, was wonderful and so very helpful. The room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Rio Maior is only an hour or so from Lisbon and so much more relaxing to stay and enjoy the surrounding sites. Would definitely recommend Casa do Foral. They pay attention to details and will make your stay so very enjoyable.

Beautiful little hotel just inside the castle walls so that you don't have to walk too far with luggage. Room furnished in typical old Portuguese style with shuttered windows that look out over a beautiful view. Nice breakfast and great overall experience! Very clean.
The host, Jaoa, made our stay unforgettable. He shared personal stories with us and hoped me would make meaningful memories. Our stay on NYE will not be forgotten. He provided us with home-made cookies.home made
Took the bus from Lisbon to Obidos and was able to walk up the hill directly to the hotel from the bus stop. It wasn't obvious at first and I had to walk along the side of the road without a sidewalk but it was less than a 5 - 10 minute walk from the main gate to historic Obidos to the hotel. They were friendly and the hotel was very clean and comfortable.
I thoroughly enjoyed my two night stay at Rainha Santa Isabel Hotel or The Obidos History Hotel. It was right in the historic district yet very close to where you can catch the bus to other locations. The owners were exceptionally gracious, and I enjoyed the included breakfast very much. The view from my window was wonderful. When I look to the left, I could see the castle, and when I look to the right, I could see other historic buildings.
I was on a business trip which I indicated when making reservation and my meetings were in the city of SANTAREM. The hotel though beautiful & charming was 1/2 hour away from the city I needed to be at and driving through very narrow and winding roads in a mountainous terrain.
It should mention on the site that this is in the middle of a forest at the top of the mountain and the location is actually Amiais de Cima, not Santarem, if anyone is using GPS which is required to find the location of...
Love this hotel in the heart of town! Close to cafes, restaurants, shopping and the bus terminal - it's so convenient and well-maintained. Service is friendly and helpful and we slept well.
