Our stay at Te Dalu was exceptional. We loved that the hotel was located a little outside of Ella proper, which allowed for connection with the beautiful environment and scenery while still being convenient to the amenities of the main town. Our room faced the hillside and had a wonderful view of the temple on the hill, and in the morning with opening the balcony doors allowed us to listen to chants and the sounds of birds and monkeys while waking up. This is a lovely venue and a beautiful town. We had two nights here. The first was in a large family room in the basement, which was a little bit musty. But it was spacious and I appreciated that. The next night we moved upstairs to two large rooms with en suite. They were much more comfortable and lovely views. The breakfast was very nice and generous. The staff were very helpful.
Small and cozy boutique hotel with 6 rooms. Staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful and made the stay an absolute delight. The lake view rooms are also amazing - the ones on the ground floor especially so as they have access to a little garden that was a great place to relax in the evening. Absolutely stunning property and surroundings! House and rooms are nice and clean but public spaces felt small for the 7 rooms (14 people). It is nice if you are happy to socialize and share space.

This was an amazing stay! Cozy room, nice breakfast, clean facilities, and excellent staff. The views were incredible. Easy to get to the main sites if you had access to a vehicle. No complaints at all!
Note: The inn is up an extremely steep hill, so you'll need a vehicle to get there.

The property is remote and beautifully removed from all noise and light pollution. The staff are well trained and a pleasure to interact with as they are helpful and kind.
