I stay here because it is close to where I work, not for its convenience to downtown, restaurants, etc. As far as business hotels go, this one is hard to beat. Super clean, super efficient, excellent and friendly staff, good food (the dinners are exceptionally good) and reasonably priced.
This hotel was a very nice surprise. Conveniently situated within steps of the train station, it was really wonderful. It was very much a comfortable business hotel that provided excellent service. The breakfast was well worth the extra cost and offerings were always fresh and well stocked. The only negative was the lack of ability to cast to the television. This is small but would have been an excellent addition. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Very quiet place to stay and get your thoughts together and even meditate. I loved the quietness and the scenery around to hotel. The hotel staff were very helpful. The hotel restaurant was also very good.
We also toured the local “Pilgrim Craft Beer Brewery” located next door to the hotel. The brewmasters were very cordial and knowledgeable about brewing. The flavors of beer we fantastic.

Everything about this hotel was perfect except that we had a room above the patio for the pub and other guests were extremely loud even well past the midnight closing time so we couldn’t sleep.
It was a great place to stay. It seemed to be brand new. Easy to park the car in the back. We checked in trough a machine that gave us the card to have acces to the building and room. No ac system in the room, but it did not bother. Overall it was a great place since everything was self-service. There were at least a couple of places to go eat that were nerby.
Das Hotel at Säntis is nothing like a 3* hotel. I would give it 4 1/2* for sure. From check in to check out the staff looks sfter you, is super friendly and help ful. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. View of the mountain is stunning. The restaurant serves a very good breakfast buffet as well as dinner. Quality of the food is very high using a lot of regionally sourced products, inclusing cheese from the cheese fsctory across the street.

I really enjoyed stay in this hotel. The price is reasonable and location is convenient (bus is 2 min away: and the train station is about 7-min walk.) Breakfast is very good. The only downsides are that my room is slightly noisy as it faces the street; public transportion is limited on Sunday as it's a small town and it doesn't have elevator. But these are not problems for me and I would stay here again if I come back.
The Hotel Appenzell is absolutely charming! The central location on the plaza is excellent, with a view to activities going on in town. It's conveniently right next to the Tourist Info center. The staff was cheerful and helpful. They responded promptly to requests, such as for a fan in our room.
The room was delightful. It was bigger than other rooms we stayed in in Switzerland, and it was decorated in a charming, white and gold french style, with crystal ceiling lights, and big windows...

The only to be aware of (which wasn't a negative for us) is the Church right across the street rings its bells until pretty late and again at 6:30 am. They are awesome bells, but very loud.
