Hrifunes Nature Park is special for many reasons. For starters, the house we stayed in was modern, clean and beautiful. It was a perfect and peaceful place to stay in hopes of catching the Northern Lights. Additionally, the host who runs Hrifunes was truly the kindest person we encountered on our trip. We loved our stay at Magma. It's a beautiful property with lovely rooms and restaurant. Breakfast was fairly standard but the beautiful dining room made it even better. The location is great for a south coast road trip. Would definitely stay here again!
It was a rough day in Iceland fleeing from a late-May snow storm in the East, but Anna Maria who was working at reception was simply fantastic. Her professionalism and concern for my stressful day truly turned things around because she went above and beyond. It may have been some little things from her perspective, but she was so great. My room was close to my adult children. Got some ice for our cooler.
