This small hotel is a true gem! It is a short two-block walk to Sultanahmet Square where you will find the Hagia Sofia, the Blue Mosque, and the Basilica Cistern. There is also a station there for Tram 1, which you can take to explore the city. The staff is wonderful-friendly, helpful, and pleasant.

Özen (Ozzie -the night concierge) was the best concierge I have ever had the pleasure of working with. The first night we had a problem with the room, not only did he fix it quickly, but provided us several options and made sure to check on us everytime he saw us and sent some Turkish Delight to our room. We found Union Port Hotel perfect for our needs. We arrived Istanbul a day before boarding our cruise ship. This hotel is located walking distance to cruise port though recommend a cab as it would be difficult to pull luggage even the relatively short distance. This location is right next to everything! We booked the city view room for our stay in Istanbul, and loved the views, location and hotel! The convenience of walking out the hotel, and being right next to all the sites was a win for us! I stayed this hotel from 7/15 to 7/19. I stayed on the 25th floor which is one of the executive floors. It is an absolutely beautiful hotel.
