We were two families. Two kids each family. We had connected rooms. Worked really well for us.
Communication was sadly a bit poor in the beginning, but after some time the staff solved the issues we had arriving. "

"Quarto com um tamanho excelente. Muito espaço. Banheiro reformado e ótimo. Cama confortável, muito limpo, silencioso e tem tudo que é necessário. Recebemos todas as informações e instruções para o check in por e-mail. Funcionou perfeitamente. Checked in quickly with no delays and assigned a room on the 4th (5th floor by USA standards). Room was neat and clean. My room was in the middle of the floor and quiet with a view of the HBhf. Bathroom was fairly clean with traces of mold in the shower stall and the shower door leaked if you did not keep the shower water off the shower door. This beautiful hotel is located in the small town of Eresing. It's about a 45 minute drive from central Munich, and 30 minutes to the Ammersee town of Herrsching. The rooms are very clean, modern, and comfortable. Bathrooms are spacious, even by US standards! Our second floor room had a great balcony that overlooked the main street. We had a nice stay. The staff were quite helpful, though not always available. Our room was not large but more than adequate. We liked the breakfast of bread, meat, cheese, hard boiled eggs, cereal, and caprese salad tomatoes among other things.
My stay at the Brauereigasthof & Hotel Maierbräu was wonderful. The family owners and staff were all really nice, accommodating, and made my first trip to Germany amazing. The Dorint hotel is located close to the Congress center in Augsburg. In about 2 min. you can reach the Tram station which takes you right to the historic city center in about 10 min. There is a Parking option right next to the hotel, in case your arrive via car, and a large park close by e.g. to jogg.
It is a modern hotel with comfortable rooms. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The breakfast buffet is extensive and very good.
We were very pleased that we chose this hotel. It was close to the Christmas markets, a wide array of shops, and transportation. We were traveling by train and were within walking distance of the main station. The staff was friendly and helpful.
