The Riviera Guest House

"A lovely guesthouse in a perfect location. It is very well organised. We received plenty of information before our stay with information about eating establishments, walks, parking. Plenty of choice for breakfast and the room was lovely. However we were on the 4 th floor which involved climbing 84 steps! ( 11 to get from the street to the entrance, then 73 to our room. Also we had to remember to mind our heads as the beams were low. Unfortunately this would put us off staying again. The sea view from our bedroom was wonderful. We are aged 72 and 80 so would be perfect for a younger couple."

"When we arrived we received a warm welcome, Claire explained the parking process and all we needed to do. The bedroom was clean and comfy. We opted for breafast, what a good decision that was, it was delicious, one of the best full English breakfasts I have had, certainly filled us up ready for the day. A couple of evenings we popped into the bar for a drink, the staff were friendly and efficient. Would recommend Granby Hotel if visiting Whitby"
