From the moment we entered the Hotel Indigo Torquay, we knew that our money was very-well spent. The staff, especially Isabelle at the front desk and Jackie in the breakfast room, were over-the-top in service and helpfulness. Travelling for work and I had the place to myself due to the pandemic. Felt a bit guilty for putting out the owner, Michelle, just for me but she was very welcoming. I travel quite a bit for work and when you stay in an independent guest house, it can be a bit hit and miss, but I felt immediately comfortable here. The room was well appointed and spotlessly clean, the breakfast was good and they have a well stocked ‘honesty’ bar with reasonable prices. Recommend

My brief visit to Torquay was made perfect by staying at Ashleigh House. The proprietress was so kind, thoughtful, and full of great information about the area, and she made a magnificent breakfast. The wifi was very quick, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the views--well, spectacular. You can see Dartmoor from her front porch, and the neighbourhood is charming and full of great bars and restaurants. And Oscar the dog is a great ornament to the house, too!
Vince and Irwin are incredibly friendly and helpful suggesting places, pubs, restaurants and attractions to visit that will make your stay that much better. Their accomodations are comfortable and breakfast is delicious. Would not hesitate to stay here again and recommend to friends.
Great location; 5 min walk from the Torquay train station and 10 min walk to the waterfront. Clean, well-maintained and charming room and facilities. Good-sized bathroom with excellent amenities. Cute bar, lounge, and reading room. Nice bit of garden in the front to sit and read or bask in the sun. Excellent breakfast. Above all, charming and lovely hosts Wendy and Steve (Thank you ever so much). We will be coming back for sure.
