Very nice friendly staff in a great location. Parking which is chargeable on site. Rooms were nice and spacious could just do with a fresh up and a deep clean, eye level was clean and so we're the beds it was just a little cobwebby and windows could do with a lick of paint.

The old Grosvenor hotel made famous by the TV show. It was an ideal place to stay for me and my daughters on a little 3 days break. Not the cleanest or the dirtiest of hotels, parts were dated and in need of modernisation. The pool table was a hit with the girls as was the indoor pool, they were in it every day. I would stay here again as it’s close to the centre of Torquay and within walking distance of the amenities.

The hotel is in a good location. We had two rooms for one night. One was very modern, with a modern bathroom. The other was larger but a little more tired. Both were good value! There was ample parking within the hotels 3 carparks. The breakfast was fine but with slightly limited choice. The hotel was dog friendly which was great - and there was a dog friendly area in there restaurant. The staff were all friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Although rather dated, the hotel was spotlessly clean with a large bathroom, with plenty of space. The room we booked was noted as being an inland room, but had a sea view which was a bonus. We would stay again.

Nice big room on first floor. Very comfy beds. No housekeeping all week - not sure if you have to ask for clean towels, empty bins ?? Good buffet breakfast. Location was just a short walk to the beach and nearby parks. 10 min walk to train station Weather was lovely so we had a good week.

I stayed for two weeks, the first on my own for an event at Torre Abbey. I felt safe as a woman travelling alone. Staff were very helpful and friendly. On the second week I transferred to a bigger room as my husband was joining me. Again, the staff were helpful in organising the transfer of my belongings. They suggested a lovely, big, airy room. I know the hotel has an ongoing plan to revamp rooms, so wasn't surprised that this one was a bit old-fashioned. But it was still clean and comfortable. The only problem was the television which had a will of its own when it came to channels. Staff tried to help, but it was still not working as expected. It didn't really matter as we were out a lot. I'd happily stay there again, especially as it had easy access to the sea front and Torre Abbey.
