We had a newly remodeled room in a building a short distance from the lobby which was in a restored hall. The room was fantastic with full length floor to ceiling windows, remote controlled ceiling windows & every other amenity you can think of. We even had to open the door with an old fashioned key as the room was decorated in an old English style. Breakfast was very good & the free wi-fi worked well. This is one of the best hotel rooms I have stayed in.
Chatton Park House B&B is a great place to stay on the English countryside. It is close to both Newcastle and Edinburg and as peaceful as they come. The hosts are gracious and kind and the breakfast was great.
We stayed in off season. When we arrived at 4 pm, nobody was there. Another guest let us know the keys were just behind a flower box. Got in, lovely room, clean, with plenty of amenities. Good water pressure.
My only wish would be that they provide wash cloths, as well as towel racks or some form of hanging and drying our towels. There not a single hook or rack in the entire room. A simple fix, but certainly worth it.

The Bamburgh Castle Inn was a very nice place to stay. It is conveniently located right at the boat docks should you be taking a tour.

Lovely country inn with pretty courtyard, hearty breakfast, good parking and great location for seeing sights around Alnwick. Each room is distinctive, I highly recommend the large East Grannery room we stayed in. The owners live on the property and treat the guests like friends. Our favorite place to stay on our current England trip.
