Imagine soaking up the atmosphere at Butterfield Stadium, a stadium in South Hill. It's also full of great shops and restaurants, so you can spend the afternoon having a wander. If you think Butterfield Stadium is cool, you also might like Robert J. Kane Sports Complex and Reis Tennis Center, both located nearby.
Property is definately like no where else I have stayed. Loved the friendly staff, the lobby area and the deck area. Rooms are "dorm size" but efficient for a few nights stay!
We used this hotel for Thanksgiving overflow at our house. Our suite was spacious and mostly clean. We did find crumbs and a candy wrapper in the couch bed, but overall, nice and clean.
On Wednesday they have a light buffet available, and it was really nice. Broccoli cheddar soup with crusty bread was enjoyed by all. Salad, cheese and crackers, pita with dip, fruit and best of all, beer and wine!

We were traveling with oùr dog. They accommodated us very well. The property on the outside is not impressive but the room was very clean. It even smelled clean. We are traveling that way again and will gladly stay there.
The hotel was excellent as a base for visiting several state parks in the area, the closest being Watkins Glen which is so close the hotel parking is just outside the official parking. The hotel has character from the rooms down to the unique features of selling its own home made ice-cream and beeswax. The breakfast is simple but nice, waffles (with the help of the waffle machine), apples, bananas and coffee.
Beautiful home, delicious food, accommodating host, and awesome atmosphere. Location prime for visiting downtown. Will definitely visit and stay again!

We have stayed here often, and what we like most is that it's very homey, and we feel at home. It's a beautiful property, and the owners/hosts are always available if there are any issues.
It's also very clean, and it has everything we need.
