outdoor stairs were a fun adventure for us with a snow storm, but we made it. We really enjoyed the front porch and heater in there while resting and reading.
Staff was very friendly. Had a nice, warm indoor pool open early and closes late. Breakfast was great with fresh make-it-yourself pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausage patties, scrambled eggs and much more. Close to interstate, Wings Event Center, and many restaurants. Very good stay for the $.
My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights to visit family. We had our little dog with us and were given a bottom room close to the side door for our convenience. We also explained that we would have our daughter and her 2 kids with us for a few of the nights, so that we could all spend time together. We were told that it would be no problem at all, and were not charged any more for them to stay...not even for our "4 legged' child. The whole staff, including the maids were so friendly and...
I was absolutely amazed when I arrived. I came in super late like after midnight to avoid traveling in a bad storm. I thought I could grab my stuff and get to the lobby but it started raining when I was walking through the parking lot. A lady on the night staff was running toward me with an umbrella! And she was apologetic she didn't make it to me on time -- I don't think I've ever seen care like that for a late night arrival. Super thankful and impressed.
The room, lobby, and pool were all extremely clean. The staff was phenomenal. The bartender was warm, polite, and went above and beyond. We ordered a few drinks, he did a great job. We swam in the pool later in the evening and the bartender noticed us, and brought my small daughter out a brownie, just because. It absolutely made her night and made her fell very special. Can’t recommend any higher.
We are a family of 6 (including 4 children under 6!) visiting friends in Kalamazoo. After searching through a bunch of places, this was the one that we decided on. And boy, am I glad we did!! The suite was very spacious, had two separate bedrooms and two attached baths. The hotel was clean with a friendly staff. The breakfast buffet was adequately stocked with a great selection (including waffles!!).
I think the best compliment that I can give is that I'm planning on staying there next time...
