Beautiful hotel, great distance from airport, five stars

Nice hotel, very clean, friendly staff, good breakfast, good location for our trip (few minutes walk to the train station), we walked to Marienplatz, other attractions and restaurants.

We stayed with our adult children at the Hotel Obermaier during Octoberfest. It was all that we had hoped for. It is a traditional hotel with a good restaurant attached. It is convenient by Metro to downtown Munich. It is much more reasonably priced than closer-in hotels. Our room and bathroom were comfortable. The breakfast was unbelievably generous and delicious. We will definitely stay at the Hotel Obermaier if we are fortunate enough to return to Munich, particularly during Octoberfest.

This was our first stop on our 2.5 week European Honeymoon. We spent two nights here and we wanted to stay longer. We wanted to stay longer simply due to the staff. These people are amazing. They remember your names, they remember what you want to drink, they will book tours for you, recommend places to eat and places to go. Very clean hotel, close to a ton of businesses for convenience, bars and restaurants. Breakfast was included and top notch.

The bed and room was very comfortable and quiet. AC worked great and the small refrigerator even had ice cube trays. We did not know how to park but when we called they gave us great directions. We had asked for parking but they said they did not have our reservation. Fortunately a spot was available (17 euros). Clean, well maintained, comfortable hotel that has just what you need and easily located near the city with the S.

We came for Oktoberfest and loved that the hotel was walking distance from the event grounds. Plenty of restaurants nearby that we walked to and the actual hotel facility was very nice!

So we booked double beds. Room has king with 2 Twin XL mattresses side by side. Room was not set up by housekeeping and we checked in 4 PM but they were done for day. Ugh We split them apart ourselves and asked for additional mattress pad. We folded the king. They never brought another pad only extra sheets. We jury rigged it and made do for 2 days. All else was fine On Friday night bar was open to 1 am so we could get food and drink after being on road all day. On Saturday night...

Super-convenient location to Oktoberfest and Hauptbahnhof, but tucked away by the river, far enough away from the beaten path downtown. Room had a homelike feel, with a small kitchenette & sofa plus (nice touch) 2 local beers per day in the fridge. Good breakfast & restaurants in walking distance. The sauna really helped kick a travel cold too.

Great location and close to public transit to Munich. Having a parking garage under the hotel is a plus. The Italian restaurant across the street was pretty good too.
