What a unique property! We loved the character of the palace. The decor was really cool. The staff was excellent, great food and cocktails. I enjoyed the Vespar in the bar. Much better to stay here than in or closer to Porto Fino.
Great updated space. The only downside is the noise from people returning to their rooms late at night (you can hear people talking). Otherwise great place to stay and very helpful staff.
Absolutely breathtaking hilltop gem in Rapallo – we felt like we were living in a painting! We arrived in Rapallo on May 5th and stayed at Hotel L’Approdo, and it immediately exceeded every expectation. The hotel is just a 7-minute taxi ride from the Rapallo train station, but once you arrive, you feel transported to another world. Perched high on the hill, the location is simply unbeatable.The moment we opened the curtains to our balcony, we were speechless. The view is absolutely breathtaking...
I hate to mention the air-conditioning, but the air-conditioning was wonderful!!!! I was on the first floor room 120!!!! it was very hot in Genoa and when I came back to the room, the room was still cold. The staff was great, including the young woman in the breakfast bar.
She was very attentive.
I did give five stars but a little bit better on how to find the place once you walk into the building would be nice.

My stay at Best Western Metropoli was very enjoyable! The location of this hotel is perfect in many ways. Close to Palazzo Ferrari and all the sites in Genoa. Plus, very conveniently located to transportation, dining and shopping. The staff ware very friendly, kind and accommodating! I am a solo female traveler and I felt very safe and comfortable at this hotel. I would highly recommend it for your stay in Genoa. Safe travels!
We had a wonderful time here. The location is very central, only a few minutes walk to great food, shopping, and the waterfront. The manager was wonderful and made us feel very welcome. He gave us lots of recommendations of what to do in Santa Margherita and Portofino, and we had a fantastic time following his advice. Thank you!!
This was genuinely the most incredible stay. The hosts were so incredibly hospitable, the place was absolutely breathtaking, and the whole experience was so serene and lovely! We had a fantastic meal cooked freshly for us with authentic local cuisine, drinks on the terrace overlooking the mountains, and hospitality that is rare to find these days! I can’t recommend this stay enough.
