I had mixed feelings on one of the front desk workers but everyone else was VERY friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, if a little stark. The breakfast was good, and I enjoyed the pastries. My only real complaint was that the room was too warm and I couldn't get it to cool down.
Really helpful and welcoming staff, they are used to travelers and had people who could speak multiple languages. Was easy to get to from the train station, right in the middle of the downtown area, and extremely clean. The room was a good size and very comfortable. I recommend.
We were pleasantly surprised by the size of our room. I believe it was the "exceptional w/a view". We had so much space in our room, an oversized tub, and a large balcony. All things that are not common in Europe from my experience. The staff was also friendly and accommodating.
Our room was comfortable and had a nice shower. The area is noisy, so we had to close the windows and run the AC which worked fine. The location of the hotel is ideal. Tram lines are near enough and the local sights are literally right outside your window. Staff was helpful and the breakfast suitable. Would recommend.
We stayed in the Jackie Cane room and loved everything about it. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very spacious with a beautiful view of the neighborhood and classy decor. It had a separate twin sized bed in a loft, although we did not need it. I should have done better with reading the instructions on the check-in email, since we had a little trouble finding the room at first. It's right next to an elevator on the 2nd floor.
The bathroom light was on a motion detector, so when I used the toilet at 4 o’clock in the morning, I got blasted in the eyes with a light. I’m not able to turn off.
Aside from that, the hotel is very, very nice. The room was comfortable and clean.
This Hotel was beautifully finished. We did have trouble finding it and drove by the front several times. The staff here is great and breakfast was superb. Easy to get Bus 40 to the train station in Aalst for a train to Brussels. Laundry was across the strrret but its token machine was out of order. We found another place 2 miles away.
Very nice hotel on the edge of town, excellent restaurant and service, friendly staff and good price. Not very convenient to the train station or town, but great highway access if you are driving.
