The Plough Inn
10/10 Excellent
"I loved staying at The Plough The staff were welcoming , the room lovely and the food was superb especially the soup! I wanted to comment on the puddings as they sounded so nice but couldn’t resist the soup and main and was then too full - excellent ! Full credit to the chefs ! Thank you x The only thing was there was only oat milk sachets in the room for drinks but one of the staff gave us milk in an ice bath and this solved our only issue. Wonderful"

"We had to change rooms ,management moved us whilst we were out. I needed a lift as I couldnt manage the 2 flights of stairs, very happy to help. Breakfast lovely choice . Used the bar most evenings . Rooms were clean, and cleaned most days if you put your sign on your door."

"Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are a bit dated but otherwise everything was in working order and spacious. Restaurant is very nice and our breakfast was great."
Mercure Blackburn Dunkenhalgh Hotel & Spa
10/10 Excellent
"Room was clean and spacious beds were very comfy, staff were always friendly and helpful anybody you walked past they greeted you with a smile and were very pleasant. Parking was good to say the hotel was very busy when we arrived however there is plenty of parking spaces at back of hotel. Was lovely that we was able to use the spa facilities going in the evening is better as less busy and no children. The rooms were quite warm however we just opened the window when first arrived and it soon cooled down."
