This is not an old or beautiful hotel, but its location at the edge of town means a 10min walk to the station, 25min into town centre (uphill returning!), and lovely rural views from the beer garden, or from your room if the large windows face in that direction.
My room was modern and spacious in the American style. Breakfast is very good, other food is decent basic pub fare.
What stands out is how extremely well run this place is, the staff are fabulously professional and friendly. Did pub...
Very comfortable and spacious rooms. Even though it is on a main road, the double glazing kept out all noise making it very quiet at night. Breakfast menu is excellent, dinner menu likewise and the bar has an excellent choice of local ales and cider. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this inn
Most Beautiful scenery from back where you can have open dining. Very friendly staff. We requested vegetarian, Chef added this to menu. We needed pizza one night and again Chef made it available. Very friendly staff. Alice and Daniel were ever ready to serve us and helped us in more ways than i can count. Wonderful hotel, staff, dining and experience. We will visit again.
Expedia handled our reservation. Fees advertised were very reasonable and accompanying photos secured our decision to not bother wasting time with "comparison shopping" in the area. The description of a King Bed with Seaview was accurately provided by Trelawne.
Our room was a comfortable size with ensuite tub and shower combo. Excellent Cleanliness. Top Quality Linens & Mattress. Garden & Seaview, including Cows Grazing was Idyllic! My husband and I ate dinner and breakfast at Trelawne and...
The hotel was perfect, our room clean and kept nice over our stay. The breakfast was unbelievable, so much choice. All very tasty and fresh, so very pleasing to the eye and the stomach. The staff to include;Ty, Thomas, Amy, kwan and bartenders. And the breakfast greeters.
My massage that I had with Amilie was out of this world so I booked another one, she was so pleasant and excellent at her job, the best ever. I worked for Marriott hotels for 25 years, I know good service when I see it. Thank...
Margaret and Owen were very gracious hosts. The breakfast was wonderful. The location of the hotel is very close to the beach and the central shopping area. Our room was beautifully decorated and had an outstanding view of the water. Owen recommended a couple of local restaurants that we really enjoyed. The hospitality was above and beyond our expectations!
What a fantastic hotel. I have walked past this hotel on holidays to Cornwall most of my life but this was the first time I actually stayed in a hotel in the local area. I am pleased I picked the Carlyon Bay Hotel.
Not only does the hotel seem to beam old world charm, it is the epitome of a classy environment with staff that will do anything to make your stay more comfortable and are a pleasure to deal with.
The local area is quiet but you are not coming to this hotel to party but relax...
