An unparalleled experience for a European getwaway. We stayed three nights and had a lovely time. On the last evening we dined at Vista and opted for the eight course meal which was superb. We will definitely be back.
It was our first time in Algarve, and in this hotel. We arrived 2 hours early and didn't want to drag our suitcases to our boat trip to Benagil Caves.
I called the hotel and the staff was super nice allowing us to check in 2 hours early without any hesitation into a beautifully decorated room with California king bed!

Highlights for me included: the view from the rooftop, friendly and accommodating staff, health workshops offered throughout the day, cozy rooms, and relaxing spa with familiar and new therapies. This place is perfect for a getaway to reflect, rejuvenate and relax. I would not come to this particular hotel if you are looking to party, dance, or drink a lot. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was very large and recently updated. No complaints at all. Very quiet. Be prepared for a bit of a walk (15 minutes?) to the main tourist area of Praia de Rocha. There is minimal on site parking; but if there are no spots available when you arrive, you can park for free on the street until a spot becomes available so I wouldn’t worry about it.

This hotel is at Portimao's Rocha beach and has splendid ocean view and beautiful rock formation along the beach. Its breakfast buffet was excellent and there are so many dining options close by, so we ended up not using its restaurants for lunch and dinner. Overall, a very pleasant stay and great value for the money.
The location worked well for us. While the hotel is not on the beachfront strip of portimao, it was just a few blocks to the beach. From there you can also walk along the cliffs into the main touristy area. If willing to walk about a mile or so you can access all of Portimão.
