Everything was great! Staff was friendly & very helpful, accommodation was exactly what we wanted & food was great!

We absolutely loved this place. It was by far our favorite stay during our 10 days in Japan. Definitely recommend spending extra on the dinner, it was amazing.

While I like this hotel for the cheap price and its location, I noticed the receptionist when I checked in encouraged me to use the machine in front of their desk. What an irony! They are training customers to use systems to replace themselves. The nice thing about this hotel is the flexibility if I want to extend my stay for a couple of hours. You can just pay $10 for every hour you want to extend. The facility is fairly new and it is only 100 meters from the bullet train station.

Fukuyama city is a hidden jewel. Most of the bullet trains stop here and the access to major places, including Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya, Yokohama, Tokyo, and Fukuoka is a direct line. If you want to visit Tomonoura where major movies scenes were taken, including Studio Ghibli and The Wolverine, I highly recommend Fukuyama.

The room was clean and organized. Near to the place I wanted to go. I asked question always got response quick. It was a pleasant stay. I would like to come back 100 %!!

Our family of 6 enjoyed Vessel Inn Fukuyama Station, It was a very convenient location for our Japan family members to come and visit us, too. I am especially thankful the location is next to the stunning Fukuyama Castle where we were able to visit and enjoyed the cool activities of a time when feudal lords ruled the land. Only issue I had is that the small Cafe at front desk opens at 9 am. It has great view and the bar is cute and cozy. Staff is kind and helpful.

The award-winning vegan restaurant (with some non-vegan items also offered) is some of the best, reason alone to consider the stay. Proximity to the station with city and park views available is another for those travelling by JR or highway bus. The staff were excellent, the rooms and amenities are fine. Thanks for a wonderful business-class stay.

wonderful spa

I became very aware of my American biases based on my first impression. But I quickly found out what a beautiful authentically Japanese experience this was. It’s hard to get there, but if you find the right bus line, you can get from Fukuyama station all the way up to the national park. The property is older and a bit dated, but it just feels historical to me.

Warm, friendly, and welcoming staff. Clean rooms and furnishings. Excellent location near train station and delicious restaurants. Very highly recommended. If the owner is reading this review, please thank the entire staff on my behalf. Arigato gozaimashita
