We stayed at Hotel am Steinplatz for a week. The Hotel is great, great location, Great Breakfast, restaurant and Bar. The staff are very helpful and they were always ready to help us with anything we needed. The Hotel itself has a great story and it's where most of the famous German actors were staying and had their parties. The Hotel has been renovated since then but it has kept it's old charm and it can take you easily to those glamorous days while staying there.

The hotel is only a short walk from 2 subway stations, so getting around in Berlin is really not a problem. Situated in a quiet little street. Staff very helpful. Huge rooms compared to other hotels and equipped with all you might need at your stay. Room was modern and clean, would happily stay here again. But could not get heat to turn down using system dial, had to turn off system completely and open window in order to not be covered in sweat. I stayed during cold temps, 2-6 celsius. The bar/lounge on the 10th floor is nice, had a dinner and drink there one evening. Location itself is good for walking to many restaurants and a couple parks. I was here for work and it was good for my needs.
The staff was excellent. The lady at the check-in was super helpful with get us to the hop on and off bus, umbrellas, fans for the room, etc. The bartender in the lobby was great. He gave us a restaurant recommendation that turned out to be the best German restaurant I’ve eaten at in Berlin. Small back street place. Dicke Wirtin.
Excellent breakfast buffet and dining area. Convenient water station on every floor, and 24-hour gym. No way to change or turn down the funky gym music, and you can smell the bacon from the kitchen if you go to the gym in the early AM lol. But still a great stay and will rebook if visiting again.
