"The pod hotels are actually very cool . I reserved a room with king bed , window and private bathroom so for me it was not really like a pod hotel. The staff is well trained and check in and check out was fast and easy . I stayed a week so had plenty of time to assess the hotel. "

But at Indigo Katong I am deeply set in Heritage Singapore. Such a gorgeous hotel, room and staff. So lovely. The staff even took their time to explain the history of the area, and why certain things are uniquely set out in the way they are in the hotel. "This is a good hotel for a day or two stopover in Singapore. The room is nothing fancy, a bit small but adequate and had everything we needed. It was very clean with a comfortable bed and a good shower. The location was great. 20 minutes by cab from the airport and dozens of shops and restaurants right outside the door. We will stay again."

"The whole area is the red light district. They locked the doors early and opened them later in the AM. I could hear the door bell ringing, because it was locked. They also wanted to check the room before you left. I didn't have anything to hide, it was just weird. Nothing is around the area. "
