Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge

"What a beautiful property! Located at about the middle point between Anchorage and Denali (2 hrs to/from each end point), this hotel was easy to get to, and had every amenity, yet felt like a mini wilderness park. We first were struck by the perfect clear views of Mt. Denali. The resort was laid out in separate buildings with small hiking trails that led around the property. It was easy to drive around and the main lodge had a restaurant, bar, coffee shop, and our favorite - an expansive game room. It must have had room for at least 60 people, with plenty of game tables, lounge areas, and sofas. Our kids loved the game of finding mini s'mores figures hidden around the lodge. The staff also led educational tours but we didn't stay long enough to take advantage of that. Easy 2 hour drive from the hotel to Denali National Park. We went to the park twice. Highly recommend this gem!"
