We loved our stay at the beautiful Torre Sangiovanni B&B! Rosary is a lovely host (but don't be late) who serves a amazing breakfast that is both delicious and a work of art! The 1,000 year old castle, was recently very tastefully redone by Rosary. It is situated in Todi in the gorgeous Umbria region of Italy. We loved our short stay and plan to return.
Easily one of the best hotel stays of my life. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcomed from the moment we arrived. The building and rooms are stunning and a lot of care and attention to detail went into the renovation that made this the place it is today. The breakfast was a great start to the days we were here. Our experience at Michelangeli's B & B in Orvieto was exceptional! We stayed almost 2 weeks and never had a complaint. We found the room rate reasonable. Francesca, the owner, was kind and helpful but also gave us our privacy. Despite her broken English (and our broken Italian), we managed to communicate. We had to make a last minute change to this property from one we had in San Gimignano, and we are delighted that it worked out that way. The property is super relaxing and the staff made our stay memorable. My room (8) was small but I was pretty comfortable. The elevator made moving luggage easier. I received a fresh towel and a made bed quickly every day. The shower was small but had hot water and good pressure. I had brought my own washcloth, shampoo and conditioner which I recommend. They do supply body wash. Breakfast was very nice with hard boiled eggs, sliced cheese, meat, yogurt and fruit. If you like a hard mattress you will love the bed - me, not so much. I really felt welcome for the two...
