Loved it! Cute town and lovely breakfast. Nice restaurant at the neck back Pecks and casual pub food at the front. On small thing service was slow in the pub food and breakfast. Seems understaffed! Eveything else was great.
We enjoyed a four night stay here on arrival from Australia, for a family wedding. We had booked a family room. Two queen sized beds. The breakfast was a good choice and standard with full English and continental choices. We ate twice at the Bistrot. Excellent French cuisine. My husband is French and rated it highly. Clean modern room. Very nice common spaces. Dinner reasonably priced and well presented, but a little disappointing. I had the pulled beef and mushroom Wellington. Pulled beef is just a euphemism for beef puree. Some pieces of meat would have been nice. Breakfast was good. This place is much better value for money than the airport Radison Blu and you can walk to and from the terminals. However, you do have to walk in the open which would not be good in rain.
Decor is nice and furnishings luxurious. Fresh milk in the fridge for the Nespresso maker and a bottle of water!

We had a good experience and would definitely stay there again. If coming by train, schedule a taxi ahead of time - there’s a long walk up a steep hill(which isn’t fun if you have much luggage).

I've stayed at Hotel Football three times whilst attending the Radar Festival, which was held at the 02 Victoria Warehouse, across the street from the hotel. All three stays have been very enjoyable. Great property, reasonably priced, comfortable and clean room. Kitchenette was great and the bathroom was lovely. I found the bed to be incredibly comfortable.
Breakfast buffet was great, plenty of choices, and allergens were labeled for all items; separate space for gluten-free items.
Laundry room was good, small washers & dryers that were serviceable and free for guests (byo detergent), and much appreciated.
Staff were all polite, helpful, and seemed genuinely pleasant.

Room was clean. Included breakfast had hot items including bacon, sausage, hash browns, scrambled eggs, and beans. There was also yoghurt, cereal, croissants, muffins and juices. Coffee machines were excellent. I had a couple pints at the bar in the evenings and they were reasonably priced too. Bed was comfortable. Air-conditioning was excellent. A little far away from the city centre but there is a bus stop called the Parkway right on the other side of the tram tracks.
The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is a beautiful example of a victorian grand dame, elegant and gracious. The menu is a little lacking in finesse and could use being updated.
