"The Milner is a lovely hotel. Unlike many hotels in York that I’ve stayed in, the Milner was worth the price. Great room with views of the walls and the Minster, friendly staff, clean, welcoming and an excellent breakfast. Recommended. We’ll be back. "

"Check in was amazing, really friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Slept well. Breakfast was fine, sausage egg bacon beans hash browns. Cereal toast croissants Danish all fresh. There isnt anything to do at the servuces in the evening by Wetherby is a 10 minute drive but then York is about 20 minutes"

"Very clean and comfortable room! The one thing that sucked as they had the windows open when we arrived (in February!) and our room was FREEZING and it took quite a while to get it warm. There were great bathroom amenities, although the shower conditioner was actually just more soap when I put it in my hair. I thought I had breakfast included when I booked but was told I did not so we didn't try the breakfast as we found it quite a high price (almost 17 GBP, which is about $35 per person). The staff were not the most helpful, kind of didn't give much direction and when we called about extra pillows (there was specifically a card in the room saying we had pillow options) we were ignored the first time, called 30 minutes later and told there weren't really options and he just brought us 2 more. The location is pretty walkable to York's main sites and there's enough room to pull a car up for loading/unloading."
