"Good room apart from lack of storage. Very good dinner from service and food aspect. Lovely roof top bar for drinks. Very poor breakfast - dirty tables that remained so for half hr we were there. Broken /empty coffee machines. Reception team did bare minimum both on arrival and checkout."

"Absolutely wonderful stay. The staff were exceptional. We arrived very early on the motorbike and they found us somewhere to leave our bike gear for the day. The changing rooms were very lovely. The staff directed us to local taxi firms, avoiding us that the walk to our destination was unsafe. We didn't have much luck booking for our way out to puzzlewood but a member of staff offered to take us on their way through. Definitely recommend sorting taxis ahead of time. Had dinner in the restaurant and it was exceptional, the quality of the steaks were very good. Service again was amazing and we sat on the terrace watching game of bowls. What a relaxing stay and would definitely stay again. Can't recommend enough."

"Bedroom 120 is very tired! Tatty. Needs a total refurb. Needs a fresh set of eyes to look at it. Windows dirty. Damaged door with tape on it - painted over . Old -worn bathroom. Give it 3/10. The corridor needs a proper good clean as well. But despite that the staff at hotel especially at check in were absolutely outstanding. Really warm and lovely. 10/10. The rooms need a big total makeover -"

"Hotel was convenient, bright and airy, clean, tidy, although has some wear on stairs. Staff very welcoming and friendly. It was surprisingly cool and quiet for the location and season! Amenities may have been 'budget' level, but facilities in room and Reception more than adequate. Shower temperature easily adjusted. 'Continental' cold buffet breakfast was varied and plentiful, and timings wide and convenient. I just might have to visit again, when it suits a journey!"

"Despite being very close to the M4, the room we stayed in was quiet, comfortable and clean. Well maintained public rooms as well. All the staff from check in, bar staff, waiting staff and the maids were very pleasant, helpful and considerate. Nothing was too much trouble. Good value for money & as much breakfast as you need. Thank you."
