We had a fantastic stay at Hilston Park, Monmouth, and would highly recommend it, especially for families. From the moment we arrived, the host was incredibly welcoming and kind, greeting us as soon as we pulled up. He went above and beyond to make our stay special and was brilliant with the children. They absolutely loved having a go on the quad bike, and he even set up a fire for us to enjoy before treating the kids to ice cream. These thoughtful touches really made the experience for us and made our stay extra memorable. The accommodation was spacious, clean and exceeded our expectations. The setting itself is beautiful, with huge grounds to explore, a lake and plenty of activities to enjoy. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to make the most of everything on offer, but there's so much to see and do that we'd love to return. One of our favourite things was the peaceful surroundings and lack of light pollution, meaning the night sky was absolutely beautiful. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The combination of lovely accommodation, a stunning setting and such a thoughtful, welcoming host made our stay truly special. We would definitely recommend Hilston Park to anyone looking for a family-friendly getaway!

The venue is currently set up for youth residential events so it doesn't have hotel facilities. Our room was modern and clean with comfortable beds and a good bathroom, but it would have benefited from a few extra amenities. Still, the staff were friendly and welcoming, we absolutely loved the estate and we look forward to visiting again soon. It's a great place for families who enjoy outdoor activities. I enjoyed a delicious Indian breakfast which made a nice change, and my daughter enjoyed her preferred breakfast food with no fuss.

Mani was an excellent host, very professional and passionate about the property. We stay in the annex rooms as visit a wedding near by. Room was modern, clean and beds very comfortable. Felt very spoilt as such a personal feel to the venue. Would defiantly return if going back to the area. Am also thinking about organising a stay in the middle not house for our local football team tour for boys. Thank you mani, we really appreciate your hospitality. Many thanks Claire and Lee x

We stumbled upon this place by accident while looking for a pitstop, and what a find! We originally planned for one night but enjoyed it so much we extended our stay to two. Olivia was great, she was welcoming, friendly, and went out of her way to make us feel accommodated, the zip wire, archery and axe throwing activities were great fun for our children. The campfire and chai were such thoughtful touches. The food was another highlight; Chef Ramsey is a master, tailoring every meal to our individual preferences for flavor and spice. We are already planning a return trip for next year!

Really enjoyed our overnight stay. Lovely and quiet, with comfortable rooms. While we didn’t stay for breakfast there were options for us. The view and setting were lovely - would be ideal with a group of friends.

Hilston Park is set in beautiful surroundings; however, we were disappointed to be given a different room to the one booked. It was unclear if we had been “upgraded” to the family room, but it was inconvenient for us as there was a step of approx 10” up to the platform on which the bed was situated, and due to having recently had eye surgery this was quite problematic. There was also an extremely small gap either side of the bed to manoeuvre in and out. The front door to the accommodation seemed loose and didn’t feel particularly safe. The first room had 4 bunk beds crammed in, which seems excessive even for a family room, but for us as a couple, the room would have been more beneficial as a lounge area with somewhere to eat, as there was no sofa or table and chairs. The standard lamp in this room didn’t work, and although there was a kettle with tea, coffee, sugar and milk sachets provided, on inspection the milk was over 2 months out of date and some of the coffee sachets were hard as if they were also old. The bathroom looked clean, but we had the turn the shower off mid-wash as it wasn’t draining adequately and was in danger of overflowing across the bathroom floor. The bathroom would also benefit from a shelf for guests to store their toiletries (particularly as there is little room elsewhere). The back door of the accommodation has a window in, which we felt didn’t offer the level of privacy that we would expect, and therefore would benefit from a blind or curtain.
