We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Eden! It is a beautiful property, amazing views and the perfect couples retreat! We arrived a little early by train (we took the Golden Pass train from Montreux which was also a highlight) and so we enjoyed the spa and a private pool until our room was ready. This hotel is in the most beautiful setting right on Lake Thun. A gorgeous lawn leading down to the lake with recliners, tables and chairs, a bar, large chess board, and a place to go swimming. They also have a wonderful spa. The breakfast has so much variety to keep you going for the day. I especially loved the view from my room with a balcony overlooking the lake and mountains.
Had a wonderful stay in Spiez. The view from the hotel is absolutely gorgeous! I recommend getting a room with a view of the lake, you will not be disappointed. Our room was comfortable and spacious with nice updated bathrooms. My only complaint about the room was there were no shades of any kind to block out the light in the morning. The hotel was clean and individual air conditioning a very quiet area. The room was about small but we were not there often except to sleep. There is no AC but a fan was provided. Located by a bus stop. Plan on walking up hill a bit to get to the train station from the hotel
Very clean hotel with excellent service! The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always happy to answer our questions. Cruz and other staff went above and beyond to help us navigate public transportation and find the best tourist areas to visit. The breakfast was great, and the view of the mountains and lake was absolutely breathtaking. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily come back!
The property appears to be brand new, modern, and comfortable. The staff is very nice and helpful. It is not walkable from the railway station or from the town of Thun but there is a convenient bus that ends in a station opposite the hotel. It takes about 10-12 minutes on that bus to arrive from the railway station.
We don’t normally do reviews but this place deserves one. Just a gem of a find. Great location, beautiful and comfortable (alpine but modern), and amazing food! (Both the complimentary breakfast and we had a delicious dinner.) and everyone was so helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.
This hotel in Kandersteg is beautiful and very centrally located. Only about a 10 minute walk from the Kandersteg cable car station which takes you to the famous lake Oeschinensee. The staff is wonderful and friendly. Breakfast was amazing as well.
