Amazing stop for us. Absolutely splendid hotel with wonderful grounds! Our boys loved the outdoor grounds for exploring and playing soccer (football). Stayed here in a family room (5 of us)--plenty of space, overlooking pool. Wonderful service and attention. Convenient for our visits to Avebury and Bath.
This charming Inn was just what we wanted, old world charm mixed with great accommodations. The food from breakfast to dinner was wonderful. The garden area was equally warm and inviting.
Great Location. Good Shopping and takeout restaurant choices. Easy access to bus to Bath.
Friendly staff and excellent breakfast and Pub Food.
Would go back again.
Stayed here for one night after a long flight in from California. It was exactly what we needed to unwind for an evening. The room was beautiful, the pub and restaurant both excellent. The manager of the property (I forget his name) was very personable and fun to chat with. We will definitely stay again at the Dog and Gun in the near future.

My second issue was there was no chair or desk in the room. I didn’t care that the tv only had 4 channels- all the other...
David the manager of the property and all of the staff was extremely helpful !! The Red Lion was a wonderful stay !! The town was absolutely beautiful !
The hotel and staff are wonderful. Their restaurant is fantastic and the town is beautiful. So much attention to detail and the food easily rivals the best in London. You will not regret spending time in this wonderful hotel.
Beautiful location complimented by excellent staff and amazing food to give a true English countryside experience. Highly recommend if you are in the area!
I spent two nights at the Hollies in early August. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food (dinner and full English breakfast) were excellent (although no food is served on Tuesday evening, but there are nearby options available). London Pride on draft.
The pub itself does not open until 5, but you can check in after 3 PM. Room 4 was very spacious with a surprisingly large bathroom.
The pub is just over a mile from central Westbury, and Warminster is close by. It is less than an...
