My husband and I only stayed one night here — we wish we could have stayed longer! Our comfortable room had a large terrace overlooking the Douro River, there is a nice swimming pool on the property and the views are beautiful! The included breakfast was delicious and substantial, and the dinner we had there was quite good. This is a family-owned place and the owner’s son Paolo, who is the manager, was very welcoming and kind. We would return!

This is a nice boutique hotel in the center city of Lamaga. The room was large, clean, nicely appointed, and the bed was very comfortable. One of our favorite hotel experiences ever!! The hotel itself is understated luxury with subtle mid century decor and elements. The pool and spa with additional indoor pool, steam room, sauna, and gym were beautiful and really were a huge perk. Our stay at Casa Dona Edite Guesthouse was excellent. The proprietors are gracious hosts, helpful with recommendations and even their dog was helpful, guiding us into the village and through vineyards. Our accommodation, the two-bedroom apartment, was spacious, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Breakfast had ample selections. We ordered dinner one evening and it was a very satisfying, home style meal. The wine selection was good.
