This was a great stay and hope to book in the future! The rooms are larger than expected and the hotel staff were so kind. The only issues was that the elevator (lift) was not working the whole stay which made it hard to carry luggage.
A very lovely B&B with great location, beautiful room, wonderful hosting from Karen and team and best breakfast I've had in years. Over three days, the breakfast was perfect. The bed too is probably the most comfortable bed i can remember ever

Host was very welcoming, breakfast was yummy, quiet location, amazing property with an incredible display of antiques throughout. Bed in Mr Perry’s room was a bit firm for me but the room was huge and otherwise very comfortable.
We drove all day to Hastings. Woke up late for breakfast the next day (Christmas Day). The manager was so kind to accommodate us. Hotel is dated but being renovated. Cannot beat the location.

Everything was super. Only thing was a bad smell as you go up the stairs. I was on top floor and stairwells got worse as you went up but not in rooms. It is very old!
This was a fun place to stay while visiting the battle field. The village was very interesting with many small shops.
The room appeared to be recently renovated and staying above a pub was a fun experience. The pub itself was also excellent.
Our only complaint was lack of air conditioning...which resulted in us opening a window...and listening to traffic (the road out front is very busy)
All-in-all, I would strongly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area
Perfect location and room. Very good breakfast and front desk staff tried very hard despite seeming inexperienced. It is overall a perfect choice for Rye.

We stayed at the Chequers Inn for 3 nights and this stay was truly my favorite part of our trip. Sue was absolutely lovely. So kind and helpful with questions and wonderful customer service. The Inn itself was full of history, which I loved. And the rooms were VERY clean and cozy. The beds were comfortable and the turn down service every day for the room was great! Fresh towels every day as well.
