The Chateau was fantastic! We were a family of five and thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. The place is beautiful and very peaceful! The employees are all very welcoming and attentive. Beautifully restored 12th century chateau. Modern bathroom inserted into period bedroom with antique furniture. Beds comfortable, adequate lighting, and nice tv. Over the top breakfast with everything one can imagine. Chef/owner prepared dinner by reservation smelled incredible, wished we had known in advance. Good location for Normandy, D-Day tours, and Bayeux Tapestry Museum.

The reviews we read were right! This was an amazing stay. This little farm is much prettier, more picturesque, and overall more lovely than the pictures could possibly suggest. He made it clear he was there to serve his guests and he did so with warmth, friendliness, and efficiency. The Hotel Chateau de Bellefontaine truly lives up to its reputation. Our taxi entered through the iron gate into a relaxing environment. We were greeted by a flock of ducks, geese and swans. Beautiful property located 5 minutes from the city of Bayeux. This city has some nice reasonable priced places to eat, the famous tapestry that is 70 feet and a large cathedral. D day beaches about 30 minutes away max and of course the museums. Utah,Omaha,Point du hoc.
Prices on site are very high but if you don't mind driving into town it's not a problem. Front desk gentlemen when we checked in spoke good English and was very accommodating.
