I stayed at the Wolf Inn's guest house which operated an entry system through a door code. This worked well and gave me 24/7 access to my room which was great. The room was a decent size for me but may be a little tight for two people if they have lots of luggage. I didn't see (or need to see) any staff during my stay but the room was turned daily in my absence. No breakfast facilities but available in the pub just across the road and other places nearby. Just back from a great three day stay. The staff were wonderful (special shout out to Mike who couldn't do enough for us and the lovely ladies in the bar/restaurant) We stayed in one of the coach house rooms with our dog and the whole hotel is very dog friendly (including the breakfast sausage served every morning) Lovely new facilities with great bathrooms and showers.
