Hotel Babú is like a retreat! It is a lovely, peaceful location near the mountains and sea. The breakfast overlooking the pastures and garden was exquisite. And hearing cowbells first thing in the morning was so charming. We had a fabulous experience at this property. The service was impeccable. The wonderful front desk host also stored our luggage for us which was above and beyond!!!!
What a beautiful place! The building used to be a monastery, and it still has a small but gorgeous chapel. The service was excellent, breakfast had a lot of variety, and the restaurant for dinner was tasty. Location wise it's perfect. It's a 5 minute drive to the town Cangas de Onis, where you can take the buses up to Covadonga and the lakes, and also explore the town, which is very pretty. Tons of good restaurants there too. I would definitely stay here again.
Good coffee, good breakfast. Comfortable bed in a large room. Wi-Fi works without any issues. Good accommodation for one or more days. Clean room and bathroom. There was no air conditioning, but it isn't needed in the Asturian climate. Parking at the hotel lot is hassle-free.
Loved everything! Food was truly superb, marti is an artisan with the local cuisine made ny her. The cheesecake .....oh the cheesecake the best I've ever had. Ivan was extremely helpful on thing to do in the surrounding area and very knowledgable about what Spanish wines to pair with his mothers amazing food.
