Grand Case Beach Club
10/10 Excellent
"Beach Case Beach Club was a beautiful resort! The views were spectacular (our room overlooked the ocean)! We could easily walk into Grand Case daily and ate there every night-so many restaurants to try! We would stay here again and recommend to friends!"
"The hotel doesn’t have a reception desk, but this doesn’t interfere with the fast and efficient service.
Excellent location.
Great beach, despite the seaweed on the sand — they are always cleaning it.
Good breakfast: croissants, bread, French butter.
Very quiet.
Excellent blackout curtains with electric controls.
There are no meals available; I didn’t visit the KKÔ beach bar in the afternoon — it seems they only serve light snacks.
There is an excellent place for dinner in Orient Village."
"Visually it’s one of the most beautiful hotel location I’ve travel.
It’s located in a wonderfully in the French side of the island.
I’m a little physically challenged but I wanted to check it out. Yes it was somewhat
steep . I did ok. It was worth it but I don’t think I would recommend to someone who has knee or back problems. I was also challenged by the mosquitos in the room.
Overall nice hotel."
"This was our third stay at LaPlaya. Had a great time as usual. Rooms are nice. Breakfast is very good and staff is excellent. Nice to be able to walk to the small stores for snacks/drinks/etc. Also some great restaurants just a minute’s walk away. "
"The Fantastic Hotel was unlike any hotel I have ever stayed in. First, the Plus side: the taxi ride from the airport cost $ 25 USD. The gentleman working the front desk was exceptionally pleasant in English, French and Spanish. I got to meet his wife and kids and they were all very nice. The hotel was exceptionally quiet, the pool was very clean and refreshing. The elevator was very fast and quiet – my room # 305 was quite small, but adequate, with a queen-size bed, table with 2 chairs, small fridge, and small bathroom. It was a simple, slightly downhill 25 minute walk to downtown, past houses, a couple of schools and a sports complex; a pleasant stroll. I felt safe in the daytime and at night. On the Minus side: There was no service at the hotel except housekeeping – which was very good – but you couldn’t get any food or drink at all, even though there were signs indicating otherwise. All in all – the hotel, location, etc was a good choice for me as I like to explore places on foot. It is definitely not a tourist hot spot, but was good value for the $ 125 a night I paid.
Don’t let anyone tell you they exchange USD at par with the Euro in Marigot. Everywhere I went the rate ranged from 1:15 to 1:21 USD per Euro.
Would I return to the Fantastic Hotel? As a single traveller I would, but if my wife came
I would stay closer to the downtown area."
