"Staff were excellent and friendly. Can also rent a taxi at the hotel for excursions to Ganvié, Porto Novo etc. of course a little bargaining does help! Breakfast food options good. Room size is comfortable for a couple. However, is an old property so has its quirks. Travelers may prefer newer more central locations if budgets allow. Currently the port is under construction in front of the hotel. So can be a bit disturbing for light sleepers. But overall our experience was good!"

"Je viens de passer trois jours à l’Hôtel Rio à Ouidah et le séjour a été tout simplement extraordinaire. L’hôtel est calme, confortable et très agréable. Les lits sont particulièrement confortables, ce qui garantit un excellent repos. Le personnel mérite une mention spéciale : accueillant, disponible, souriant et toujours prêt à rendre service. On s’y sent vraiment bien pris en charge. J’aurais aimé prolonger mon séjour, mais le travail m’appelait déjà… Je recommande vivement cet hôtel et je vous conseille de vous y arrêter chaque fois que l’occasion se présentera."
