You can catch an event at Fuji Speedway, located 0.9 mi (1.5 km) from central Oyama.
Oyama has other activities you might want to enjoy such as Hakone Kowakien Yunessun.
If you're in central Atami and want to top up your tan, you might want to head out to Atami Sun Beach. If you want to continue walking by the waves, head to Nagahama Beach and Yugawara Beach.
If you like quiet time surrounded by flowers and greenery, hang out at Jogasaki Coast in Yawatano. Want to stretch your legs some more? Head to Izu Kogen Highlands Cherry Trees and Komuroyama Park, both nearby.
Whether you want to hunt for sand dollars or smell the fresh air, Toi Beach is a spot you might want to check out when visiting Toi Onsen. If you want to continue walking by the waves, head to La la la Sun Beach, Tagosebama Beach, and Ra Ra Ra Sun Beach.
Mishima Sky Walk is just one of the landmarks located 2 mi (3.2 km) from central Mishima, so you might want to stop by for a few pics during your trip. You could also start your cultural experience by heading over to the museums in the area.
I absolutely loved this hotel- I've been to 6 of the 7 continents and I've stayed in some really nice places. This hotel is equal to or grater than any of the other places. The location, rooms, grounds, and staff were some of the best I've ever experienced. If you want a true taste of "old Japanese" culture, this is it.

I was originally worried because of the lack of reviews on Expedia, but the hotel was truly very beautiful. The rooms are very quiet and clean, and the hotel is right across the street from a 7-11, so you can get meals there if you need to.
Transportation was a little tough, as there was not many trains, but there was a bus stop right outside the hotel which was convenient.

Living in a whole house. Huge space for visitors Traditional Japanese pajamas is provided. Nice to experience traditional Japanese living. Great breakfast! Its workers come to your house and make breakfast in front of you. Never imagine in past. Free hot spring close by. Friendly employees Quiet neighborhood with small bars and restaurants
There is a Japanese restaurant in walking distance called 武島料理店Takeshima Ryori Ten. Highly recommended

Easily one of the best hotels I've every stayed at. The staff is courteous, helpful, and very professional. Despite its age, the hotel does not feel old or worn out - I was pleasantly surprised by how well maintained, clean, and neat everything was. The rooms were generously spacious, offered an amazing view of Mt. Fuji in the early morning, and a wonderful view of the bay at night. The hotel's French restaurant was absolutely fabulous and each meal was a delight. The breakfast buffet was...

I had a villa and it was great, the room was beautiful and private; the mattress was too firm.
Have in mind when booking here that this hotel is super secluded and there are no other restaurants close; also, transportation is tricky. I gave the staff a poor rating because trying to communicate with them was difficult.

A very peaceful stay near the shrine in Fujinomiya. It was nice to have a genuine tatami room sleep.
If you are a big party this could be a really great place to book all rooms.
If you have accessible needs, I will say there are a number of non-uniform stair cases, unexpected changes and dropoffs throughout, but in my opinion this is to be expected in an old building like this.
If the accessibility notes aren’t a concern I would recommend this place to get a taste of quiet and more...

This was my first trip to Japan, I had to make some last minute itinerary changes and came upon Dormy Hot Springs. The room was a little smaller than I expected - by traveling solo I needed a clean comfortable space, this was perfect. The staff were very friendly and helpful to an American who spoke no Japanese. The breakfast buffet was exceptional plus to the stay.

Lovely hotel. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Location is somewhat remote in that you need to take a cab to town. It is a wonderful hotel well suited to couples. Can accommodate families, but all in the same room. One bedroom
Is not a separate bedroom. Great onsen in the room. Lovely view. Washer/dryer. Can’t say enough wonderful things about the staff.

The property was very clean and spacious. The hosts instructions were very clear with lots of information about nearby shopping, restaurants and hot springs. The car park was very close to the property as well as the station being one minute away. The beach is also a one minute walk. I highly recommend this property for both small and large groups.

Amazing & clean hot springs baths, nice kitchen appliances & utensils, too bad no washer in room. Walk uphill to Atami Station is hard if has heavy luggage, might need taxi if elderly travelers, unless u are in good physical condition.
