John is an amazing person and very warm host who went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. From taking us into town on our first night for some groceries to giving us a lift to the nearest beach. He also directed us to a friend who we were able to rent a great car from. La Bougainvillea was a random choice, but we are so happy we chose to stay there. It is a relatively new venture with an eye for detail and and an engaging staff. The location is mid-point on Eleuthera and the beach is absolutely spectacular. If you are looking to get off the grid and unwind, this is the spot. We'd start each morning with a walk along the 2 mile beach and swim. The sand is amazing...clean, like "walking on marshmallows"...can we trademark that citation? A steady breeze...

The resort is beautiful , the staff is amazing. Everything you need,gym, water sports and bikes as well.A great place to go and forget about life for a while!!!

Great place to stay on the island. Only 7 rooms, but they were large, clean, well maintained. Only negative was that they do not accept AMEX and this was a business trip, so had to use my personal CC.
