This was a beautiful ryokan to stay. The staff are very helpful to english speaking visitors and can accommodate very well. Amazing! The property offered a shuttle ride from the station. We were greeted with a cup of tea. We were also taken to our room and with assistance and given a thorough tour of the space and the services that the hotel provided. The property has a beautiful view of the lake. The room was spacious for our group. Highly recommend the meals offered for dinner and breakfast. The onsen was also clean and spacious.

The hotel was so clean and the staff was so friendly. The shuttle service and food was beyind excellent. Yumotokan onsen was so good for 600 yen value. The only downside was that the hotel room smelled like cigarettes even though it was supposed to be non smoking. But I guess this is true in any part of Japan. But this was totally made up with the onsen facilities and food and friendliness of the hotel staff.
