If you like strolling among the stalls, you might want to head out to Nizwa Souq when visiting Nizwa. Splash some more cash at Al Kamiyani Shopping Centre.
If seeing the sights is on your list of things to do, head to Birkat Al Mouz Ruins— just one of the landmarks located 9.1 mi (14.6 km) from central Nizwa.
Wadi Nakhr Ruins is just one of the landmarks located 7.6 mi (12.3 km) from central Al Hamra, so you might want to stop by for a few pics during your trip.
The pool area is fantastic. The breakfast was excellent. The room was excellent and the free Nescafe expresso machine and capsules was tops. The area is good and the Diwan Turkish restaurant a short walk away served the best meal we had in Muscat.
The only criticism is the lounge. Poorly decorated, lousy canapes. A small selection of alcohol from 6 to 8 PM and pretty lousy service. Needs work.

I was surprised with the clean and pleasant atmosphere of the hotel. this is my first trip to this hotel but it will not be my last. the hotel location was very convenient to two malls and close to my business meeting location. free parking is provided.

Samara is an excellent hotel at a great price and in a very good location. The hotel is well maintained (clean) and the staff are very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The majority of the staff speak English quite well with the front desk staff being fluent in multiple languages. During my entire stay (5 days about two weeks ago), the hotel operated at full occupancy (80 rooms I think). Due to it's rates and location, it's a very attractive place. I was most impressed with how accommodating...
