"Booked my stay at Hampton Inn, Long Island City thru Hotels.com. Nowhere was there info about parking. Upon my arrival, I discovered the hotel located in an unsafe neighborhood with no onsite parking. I was told by hotel safe “you must find your own parking space on the street.” Nearest garage was several blocks away so I walked out. I called Hotels.com for a refund. "Although slightly out of it on Long Island City it was very easy to get into Manhattan. The hotel had everything you needed and there were plenty of fast food options when you got off the subway back to hotel. The only issue we found was when there was a problem with subway you were a bit stuck as it was only one line. If it is your first visit stay in Manhattan."

"This is definitely an ideal place for a solo traveler for business or pleasure. Convenient to public transportation, local restaurants, and grocery. This is a pet friendly area. It has a nice state of the art gym inconvenience to two major hospitals. The only downside is there is no washer dryer available however there is a laundromat less than seven minute walking distance."

"Just what we were looking for. Friendly, safe, not too busy, good access to subway, nice neighborhood. Motel is quite dated but that was perfect for us as everything worked fine but meant it was a within our budget whilst still offering the safety, friendliness and breakfast that were more important to us.
