"Great place - very clean and a lovely little breakfast"

"Thoroughly enjoyable stay, only stayed for one night and found everywhere spotless, good food and service in the restaurant. Hotel is situated in a lovely area with views across the country-side. As there is no lift little bit of help with luggage up the stairs would have been appreciated for us older ones but not a big issue. Would certainly stay again and recommended this hotel to other travelers."

"Room was clean, well presented and a good size. Staff were great."

"Wonderfully kept grounds. Room was a good size and spotlessly clean. Dovecoate restaurant was superb"

"Lovely location with everything we needed for a very peaceful vacation. The hosts were very welcoming and gave us a little tour of the grounds and lots of information about the area."

"A very well maintained period property. The stay was great and the friendly staff very accommodating, particularly as we used it as an overnight stop to cycle the White Peak Loop. They let us lock the bikes in an outhouse and totally understood our needs. Would recommend and may well return, next time with my wife for a treat!"

"Great hotel. Quirky rooms"

"Lovely room, and helpful staff"

"Arrived just about the time we had advised owners. Met by Richard who was very helpful. Easy parking at the front of the property. Room was adequate for a short stay, very clean and comfortable. Bathroom was clean with nice towels. Tea & coffee making facilities in the room. Help your self breakfast in adjoining room. Great for a quick stay in the area, we were there for a wedding which was perfect. Highly recommended."
