"The room had an unpleasant smell, and I assume that it was likely caused by the carpet which was slightly sticky and looked like it needed to be professionally cleaned. When we arrived, the bathroom had towels hanging on the hook on the back of the door, presumably left from the previous occupant. I put these used towels in a corner of the room and mentioned this to the manager at the front desk. The room appeared that it had been cleaned, so I assume that the cleaning staff forgot to check...
