Harborside at Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina

"Beautiful stay, great location, transportation to downtown. HOWEVER, look at your billing statement after you leave. I booked this through Expedia and was charged a certain amount and then charged an amenity fee at the location, which I was prepared to do, however I was charged another $137 that I was never told about, turns out it was a fee Expedia should have paid and instead they charged me. After calling them, they saw that this was a mistake and told me I will be refunded. I am currently awaiting a refund and assume they will come through."

"This hotel is VERY clean and the beds are comfortable. The rooms are also very nice and spacious, even just their basic king room. We did not have a view beyond the rooftop nextdoor, but it wasn’t terrible since the room was nice and big and bright. It is right on the portion of King Street that is close to all of the shopping. It does not have a restaurant, and the continental breakfast was a little sad with the offerings. My only real complaint is that the fridge is not cold and it ruined my medication that needs to stay refrigerated. This is a little nerve racking when on a two week trip."

"Our room was very noisy the first night. We were right by the elevator, icy machine and our window faced a busy bridge. It was a long night. We were able to get our room switched for the next night to a much more quiet location with the help of the staff."

"We arrived late due to traffic. The night staff were so nice, and very accomdating when we asked for a late checkout the next day. The property was very clean and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and there was such a variety. The manager ( not sure of his name) was cleaning up the dining area after breakfast, and I had a conversation with him. He was very knowledgable about other Druiry Inns and made me aware of one at DisneyWorld, which will probably stay in next time we go. If we return to Charleston, we will definitely stay here."

"The Tides exceeded our expectations! Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Room was spacious, clean and well-designed. Loved the balcony overlooking the ocean! Beach was very family-friendly, and love that the hotel provides chairs and towels. They really have tried to think of everything, and it made our trip so fun!"
