Big Bend Station

10/10 Excellent

"This hotel is better than our expectations. The beds are clean and the nearby facilities are very helpful. It is very close to the west gate of Big Bend. The petrol station next is convenient but the price is higher which is understandable. For us new to this place and even the country, we feel it is very western. The kids observed thundering and lightning at night. They also enjoyed the stars of the Milky Way. We enjoyed our stay although the last day was heavy rain. We strongly suggest this hotel."

Lajitas Golf Resort and Spa

"Our room was nice, but the walls were thin and/or poorly insulated. We could hear our neighbors up all night. The main hotel restaurant, Candelilla, was pretty good, but was expensive for what was served. Overall, it was a good place to stay vs a more rustic place in Terlingua, especially if you want hotel activities, but the activities tend to be expensive too."

"We stayed in Casita 2 for 5 nights and it was very nice except that the internet was slow to non existent for the first 3 nights. We had to use our cell service those nights which is not the best due to being in West Texas. Late on the third night the internet started working and was great the rest of the stay. The room was very nice and trash pick up and restock of toiletries and coffee was also great. Absolutely no complaints other than the internet. Great location if visiting Big Bend NP."
