"We had the best time at the Doowall this week. It’s quiet and serene at the hotel and it’s only a short distance from the White Temple. Coming back in at night and seeing the temple sparkle in the dark is a truly magical moment, especially when in a Tuk Tuk. "Basic motel style but no twin rooms, the price at the place was 600baht for a single and 1200 for a double so we asked to change to 2 singles, which caused mayhem and we kept being put on the phone to someone who spoke English but still said we’d have to pay extra, eventually the lady took us to a suitable room but no top sheets and the bedcover was filthy. The shower was great though and bathroom clean, no bedside lights."
